Blogging Stats Addict

I freely admit it, I have become a blogging stats addict. When I first started out blogging I never bothered to check where my traffic came from. In hindsight this was a mistake as by knowing what promotion activity works we can gain a much better understanding on where to invest more time to make it all worth wile.

are-you-on-track.jpgI don’t spend any money on promoting either of my blogs. All the promotion is done with free methods and because they are free, they do require a bit more time. So when I invest time I generally like to know, whether it was done justified, or whether I wasted valuable time. What I normally do is to visit my Cpanel admin and check where the traffic came from?

Was it search engines that referred people to my blogs, or else …? Doing this has given me a valuable insight into what seems to work and what not. This in turn allows me to spend time where it is advisable and generate more traffic building activities.

By being a blogging stats addict I have control in the way I’m spending my time doing what works. I use Awstats in Cpanel as well as Google Analytics. There is a host of additional free stats trackers available for free and if you happen to use one yourself, let us know how it is working for you.

Cheers

Sometimes I get like that as well. I’ve been using w3counter.com though mainly and I love it.
