Blogging Web 2.0 New Year - New Look

Ok, finally I have managed to steal some time out of my rather busy days and deal with this blog. I do apologize to you our readers and also to our guest bloggers since I have been very slack posting here and even making an appearance.

new start

Without boring you with excuses lets just say a few things had to be sorted elsewhere. So thank you for staying with us. It is surprising to see that our subscriptions have gone up during this period which is great.

Terry and I decided a while back to change this blogs theme and all though we looked at CopyBlogger and Keyword Sniper I decided today that the second theme actually looked better than CopyBlogger. It is simply a cleaner look and I’m very happy with the transformation.

There will be some possible re-arrangements in the next week or so to tweak a little more, but I think overall this is a very nice on the eye look. No more clutter and easy to navigate.

However, if you are trying to use the RSS button right now, it doesn’t work since I’m having trouble with the code. Maybe Terry will be able to sort this out, so please just keep checking back.

I really like the new theme. I felt the former theme was too busy, for my tastes anyway. This one is very clean and professional looking.

As you probably know, as we upgrade to newer versions of WordPress, sometimes our established theme breaks down. That happened to me — but it lead me to an even better-designed theme for my own blog.

I wonder sometimes, though, how do our more casual readers react with dramatic changes to appearance?

Tom: I think if it is for the better then they are as happy as we are. Only when things do become more complicated it will turn visitors away.

After all, the Internet is a vast vessel of places and sometimes you loose and other times you win. Blogs always reflect the personality of the owners and if the owners are no longer happy with their blog theme, how can they expect their readers to be?

I saw your theme the other day, it also looks very clean and easy to oversee. :-)

Oh boy - I’m pretty cheesy then! Lol

I like the look Monika - very professional.

Grizzly: Haha… you have an exemption from cheesiness. :-)

Thanks for the heads up though, it means a lot coming from you.

Ha, I didn’t know what “keyword sniper” looked like and when I saw this I initially thought you’d seen my alternative health courses site and used that theme, because its identical!!!

I love this theme and use it on a few of my other niche blogs but on mine its called “modernpaper” - LMAO I wonder who copied who?

Terry: LOL, that is too funny. Glad you love it too. :-) Actually Court took the “modernpaper” and tweaked it for better SEO. That is why there is two. I believe this one would be better for niches since it has the right tag structure I think.
