Commenting on blogs has recently become very popular. Especially with the inventions of all the WordPress Plugins that can help us to display the most frequent commenter’s.

When people comment on either of my blogs I always make an effort to reply.

Unfortunately not every bloggers seems to think this is a good idea as they often fail to even take note of you as the reader. In my eyes this isn’t good business practice and certainly not a great way to attract repeat readership.

When time permits I even visit my readers in return and see what they blog about themselves. Admittedly time is a bit of an issue lately, but I still do make a daily effort to keep up with this. What really bugs me is that the so called gurus (I hate that word BTW) don’t make an effort themselves to do this. This is sad as I intend to keep up with this practice once I’m big (not a guru by the way )

Even if it means that I have to employ somebody to help do it, I would keep up by visiting my readers site as it is an important part in the equation of social networking.

Just because we are successful (for those who are) doesn’t give us the right to disperse of this practice by simply ignoring it. Unfortunately I haven’t seen many big bloggers who actually comment on other sites and I truly wonder why?
