We’re always looking for more ways of boosting the traffic flow to our blogs and websites. It’s almost a perennial problem to be worked at relentlessly if we want our blogs or sites to succeed.

So in keeping with this blog’s pledge to help our readers any way we can to find success with their own blogs, here’s another great way to increase the traffic to your blog. That’s by signing up with Technorati.

This is one of the longer established social networking sites that have been helping bloggers and website owners to spread the word about their creations and boosting their online presence for several years now.

You’ll notice most blogs will have an icon or button with the Technorati logo on - this is to encourage viewers to give their blog a little push by adding it to their Technorati favourites. The more people acknowledge your blog with Technorati, the higher it goes in their list of importance.

This is good for your blog, especially if you intend using it to attract advertising revenue.

Many advertisers take several variables into consideration when deciding upon which blog they will spend their money on for exposure. These include Google Page Rank, Alexa Rank and Technorati rating amongst other factors.

The other upside to gaining a good Technorati rating is that surfers are more likely to find way to your blog via this medium, meaning higher traffic flow and better exposure. All good things for your blog!

So if you haven’t already signed up with and added your blog to Technorati, you could be missing out on extra traffic and losing out to your rivals!
