With the high traffic numbers we have received here on Blogging Web 2.0 I have a feeling that this traffic in involves many new bloggers. This particular post is for them as well as for those who still struggle to find their balance whilst pursuing an Internet career in some ways.
I struggled many times in my life in the past, whether it was by migrating to a new country and trying to settle to local customs, or working my butt of for somebody else, I have virtually pushed through many personal boundaries. Admittedly my struggles were at some times enough to make me want to just drop everything and pounce into hiding but for some reason I have always managed to come up trumps eventually. Guess I am a fighter.
I know that most people online do struggle, whether it be with time constraints, dedication, money, lack of support from family and/or friends, lack of orientation or many of the other various reasons that affect us all in some ways.
When I started my online journey it was with a Health & Wellness MLM. I was excited and so positive believing that I had found the holy grail of life. But in reality life turned out much different from what I had initially envisaged. It led me to my love of writing and blogging. It would have been so easy for me to just say “that’s it, MLM isn’t for me at all and I just have to go back to the employment drag”. But I didn’t do this for 3 reasons:
First - I don’t do easy
Second - I hate to be in the grip of having to go to a regular job.
Third - I’m a fighter, remember
So when I realized that I wasn’t going to succeed in MLM I had to look at my other options, mostly being part two above. Admittedly I did go back to work to pay the bills after loosing a lot of money in my MLM. But I knew that this “stepping back” was only ever to serve me for the moment, not the long time.
It is now a little bit over 6 month later since I started back with the intention to become a famous blogger and freelance writer. I know, I still have to work on the famous bit but I LOVE what I’m doing and my business grows from strength to strength.
If I had simply given up and resorted to going back to a JOB for good, I wouldn’t be here right now and I would certainly NOT be happy or even feel as passionate about my current business.
My message to you is: If you struggle, accept that we all do, some more- some less. But if your dream is powerful enough that you want to jump out of bed in the morning and stay up late at night you can be assured that things will turn for the better. It only takes a bit of time. The funny thing is that I heard this exact message whilst pursuing my MLM dream. Today I know, that that dream wasn’t big enough for me and that’s why I never made it.
I never had the passion I have now, the love for the subject as well as seeing my work more like something I simply love doing. I know, that YOU can achieve success too if you really want it enough. Please realize that this statement comes from a previous doubter who has heard the same thing said to her and thought ” whatever, it works for you maybe but how can I ever achieve this myself”.
Recipe for Success: Believe in yourself, find your passion and work hard!

Hey Terry,
You should be proud of your accomplishments. I think your writing is really awesome!
Reading your articles at various sites and forums, and also Trent’s…has inspired ME to really get into writing. Yes, it’s true.
I’ve been busy writing as of late and am now published on AC! Waiting on my third article to be published. I’m also getting my articles on more directories.
So…thank you Terry!

Hello Wah Opps,
Thank you for commenting on this particular article. It was actually me (Monika) thst wrote it as you can see on my signature. But it’s ok if you posted it under the wrong article if that was your intentions.
I’m glad you also discovered the love of writing and publishing on AC will help you to earn some good money if you keep up with it.
Unfortunately they only pay U.S. residents, so it isn’t for me being here in Australia.
Keep up what you’re doing as it will help you to go places.
All the best

Hi Tammy,
Glad you found us! Yes, writing is the way forward on the web now. Google has changed its algorithms even more to focus on sites that give lots of original content over those with lots of backlinks and poor content.
That’s why sites (blogs) like this will be populating the top of the search engine pages in the near future - look at some of the top names like John Chow to see how they”re already reacting to these changes by putting up blogs and filling them with quality content.
Trent is also a big writer and does well from search engine referrals. His sites have been around for a long time so also have the benefit of good PR to help boost his online presence. That’ll come to us in good time, I’m sure.
It’s great you’re earning some dollars with AC - as Monika said, we can’t contribute as we’re outside the US which is a shame. My article writing is almost totally going into all the blogs I write for now, as I can see it will be of more benefit in the future. I haven’t sold anything on CC for a couple of months now because of it, but I think things will pick up soon.
BTW our comment widget is set so that you get the dofollow backlinks once you post two or more comments. That’s to stop the one-quick-post-and-never-seen-again merchants from trying it on!
So do come back and comment some more - I’ll return the favour on your blog!

Thank you Terry…I’m still pushing forward with the writing. Three of my articles have veen accepted now and waiting on a 4th one.
I also have lots more ideas for future articles.
I’m sorry for the delay in my reply here. I’ve been dealing with some personal things with my Dad.
And Monika…I’m so sorry, I completely missed that!
If I would have had my eyes more open, I would have noticed that you wrote that article.
Both of you are awesome!
Keep up the good work.

Don’t worry, no offense taken Tammy,
I also stuff things up by posting on the wrong identity like I have done with my last post. I just corrected it. I keep forgetting to choose my name under authors since i normally don’t have to do this in my other blogs.
This are the challenges of a blog editor I guess.
Thank you for the vote of confidence and hopefully your dad is alright.
