Guest Blogger Rules
First a huge thank you for all the authors who are pitching in to make Blogging Web 2.0 a success. As you probably already know, Terry and I work hard toward blogging domination with this blog. One of our vision is to hold regular competitions with monetary prizes as well as other great free stuff.
Another one is to share the income we make here with our top contributors. This is obviously more interesting in the future when the blog grows even more and therefore more money can be made. Currently we use affiliate marketing to monetize the site. In the future it will also consider direct links selling and as we come across further promising ideas we will certainly give them a try too. We discovered that it is a waste of time to use Google Adsense Ads on a blogger blog because of the pennies it pays.
To keep things fair for all involved we decided to write up this Guest Blogger Rules page. Please stick to it to make all our experience a better one.
1. - No affiliate links of any kind are allowed in a guest blogger post. If you do want to write a review about any affiliate product you are welcome to do so, but the post needs to contain our own affiliate link. Please contact us to discuss prior to posting. If you fail to take note of this don’t be surprised if your posts don’t get approved! You will simply waste your time. And remember, if we make sales, then you will be paid too as long as you are active! Stats will be posted every month in the first few days to keep things in the open.
2. - Links within posts to personal sites should be avoided if possible, (you are allowed to have a resource box at the end of the post to link to your site with a “do follow”). You can link out to other sites, but please insert rel=”nofollow” target=”_blank” within the hyperlink for EVERY link used in posts.
Except for interlinking to other posts within Blogging Web 2.0. If you can try to link to other posts frequently as this helps the Google juice which helps your pocket in the longer run.
3. - Each author that posts at least 1 posts can submit their photo and a little blurb about them and their business (max 150 words) to feature on our Meet The Bloggers Page. This Bio will stay up indefinitely. Once the author becomes inactive for over 1 month, the link will change into a “nofollow”, which means visitors can still click through to your page, but search engines won’t index the link anymore. This is to prevent people from coming and posting only 1 post never to be seen again hoping they can scam a good valuable backlink!
4. - Posts need to be relevant to Internet marketing!
These are the most important steps to consider and are really only common sense. Both Terry and me are very nice people and our aim with this site is to make it a social networking experience with a twist which helps us all to earn money together.
