A Slight Slowdown?

Could it be? Have we actually started to back off the gas a little and slow down our frenetic rate of posting?

Since its inception, Monika and myself here at Blogging Web 2.0 have been posting like a couple of lunatics. We’ve been going at it hammer and tongs so to speak!

All this hard work has been to pile up our database of articles with an absolute ton of great, unique, informative, interesting and original posts so that as our reader-base expands we have plenty of reading matter to keep everyone interested.

Well, we’ve exceeded all our expectations with this site thanks to our hard graft.

Now we’re pulling back on the reins a little so that we don’t over do it. That doesn’t mean we’re taking a holiday from posting our fascinating fanfare of fantastically fashioned features. That’s a lot of “f”s! No, we’re simply switching our focus from quantitative quality to qualitative quality.

That means we’re throwing open the floor to our readers who we’d love to become contributors. We don’t want you getting tired of seeing posts coming only from Monika and myself (even though they are first class absolutely brilliant works of art…hehe!) but want to provide a greater variety of opinions, writing styles and viewpoints from a lot of different bloggers.

That’s you guys!

So if you have been hanging back in the sidelines waiting for the right moment to submit your own great contribution to this great site - NOW IS THE TIME!

We’ve already had some great contributions from Karen and now Trent and I know Grizzly is putting something together for publication shortly, so get your writing hat on and join us all by being a part of this great adventure!

Simply sign up using the “Register” link on the right of the page and you can submit your post to the site. It’s easiest if you have it already written, spell checked and copied into a simple editing program like Notepad. That’s because more sophisticated programs like Word add a lot of extra characters to your text which can cause formatting problems when you transfer it into Wordpress. Once you’re ready to go, just simply copy it again from Notepad and paste into the “Write” box. Give your post a title and submit!

Job done!

So come on, it’s easy and a great feeling to be a part of this great site. As it continues to grow in popularity, your post and the link to your own blog or website will grow in importance with it, as it stays for the life of this site - we don’t delete any links from our older posts!

So if it looks like there are fewer posts coming from Monika and myself, it’s not because our interest is waning - far from it. It’s because we’ve decided to leave some room for others to contribute too.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Blogging Echoes

I’d like to echo Monika’s words with some of my own on the subject of making a success of a new blog.

Depending on what you want to do with a blog, success can mean many things to many people. I don’t want to muddy the waters by going off on a dozen or so different tangents, so I’ll keep it simple and concentrate on making a successful blog in terms of attracting a large and loyal readership coupled with making a profit from all the hard work that goes into achieving that success.

Our major goal with this site is to create a popular focal point for a large audience of readers to find many interesting and varied authors who host their own blogs by giving them great examples of the authors’ work in the form of guest blogging posts right here, with links back to their own blogs.

Blogging Web 2.0 will become a central meeting point for both bloggers and readers.

It will be of mutual benefit to both by showing the readers exactly what to expect when they visit the authors’ blogs so they won’t waste time searching through unsuitable blogs, or blogs with misleading names that are either written on a subject of no interest to the reader, or blogs of poor content that are full of ads.

We can achieve this goal by attracting lots of people to see what is being written right here on this blog - Monika and myself are working hard to create a lot of interesting and useful content for that purpose and are promoting it to attract an ever growing readership.

We also need help from you.

By helping us to provide a wide variety of different viewpoints on the blog’s main subjects by writing and publishing guest posts here, you’ll be not only helping us to generate even greater numbers of visitors, but also helping yourselves by promoting your own blogs from this site

Some of you are already doing this by commenting on posts and our first guest blogger, Karen Zara has started the ball rolling by providing a really great first post on the very popular subject of Page Rank and why so many bloggers are concerned with chasing it.

Please, let’s hear from more of you now!

So I’d also like to thank everybody who has contributed to the initial growth and the beginnings of success that this blog is already experiencing. Please tell your friends about us and we’ll keep doing our bit by telling the world about ourselves. Together we can make this a truly great place to increase the exposure of every blogger who gets involved by delivering a platform from which to show the world your own abilities and promote your own blogs to a huge online audience.

Here’s to your success - because your success is our success!

Blogging Web 2.0 Cyber Hug

Both Terry and myself have been blogging here on Blogging Web 2.0 for just about 1 month. The blog is growing steadily and will so even more as time goes by. We are both confident that by writing consistent and fresh content we can play the blogging game amongst all the other top bloggers out there. But what is a blog worth without its readers? We appreciate every single reader here and this is reflected by our monthly competitions. How many blogs offer money to their readers right in the very first month?

That’s right, not many and by doing this we show you how much we care about your traffic and the participation on this blog. For next month I already have another great idea, so keep posted for the announcement.

As respected bloggers of the blogosphere here at Blogging Web 2.0 we are also giving back to our most frequent commenter’s and readers.  So from this week onwards we will do our very best to give out some cyber hugs to those who care to share.

Become a frequent commenter and we will give you some link love back. In the future this might actually become another reason to hand out some money… but enough said for now. ;-)

Our top commenters this week:

Tammy has a great website for WAHM’s offering a wealth of resources and information. Tammy has been in “the game” for a while and she seems to know what she is doing. To top it all of she is also a very nice person as I have come to know her a bit in forums.

Alex has joined a Google Pagerank Exchange and blogged about it on his blog. This will allow you to get more links and visitors to your blog too.

Sharon runs a Business Vibe site aimed at MLM’ers from mainly the UK. She is also involved in a writing site and her style of writing is quite refreshing.

Sara’s Blog Experiment Forum is a great hang out for bloggers with questions and answers. I will have to check this one out myself when time permits.

Karen Zara is our first official guest blogger and we are still waiting for her little blurb so we can feature her on the specially created Guest Blogger Page. Her blog is aimed at all things Internet marketing.

Thank you to everybody involved and keep the great comments coming! :-)
